Akha –Hani Alternative Medicine Project
Typical Medicine or Akha Alternative Medicine Project is the activity developing according to the character of problem by the AFECT in April 2004 to study and to gather all kinds of herbs, body of knowledge health care of Akha Doctor to revive the Health system in communities including natural resources conservation and earning an income from growing herbs.
After the research has been finished and setting up the Akha –Hani Alternative Medicine Learning Centre ( AHA-MEC )to be the education site to learn Akha typical medicine in Thailand and the Akha-Hani MeKhong Basin Network which is China , Myanmar,Laos, Thai and Vietnam with the main Study Centre locating in Baan Saenchaiphattana Moo. 22 T. MaeSalong Ni A.Mae Fah Luang ChiangRai Province and Baan Huaykhi Lek Moo. 9 T. Wawi A.MaeSuay Chiangrai Province, Baan Song Kwai Phattana Moo.11 T. MaeYao A.Muang ChiangRai Province. Every Area will stress on disseminating information of typical medicine activities by the Thai- MeKhong Basin typical Doctor network in highland communities in ChiangRai Province.
